  • By 2050, nearly 7 out of 10 people will live in cities, many of which are unable to accommodate growing populations due to the lack of affordable housing, inadequate infrastructure, and limited access to nature. THE LINE, NEOM’s urban development project, aims to accommodate 9 million people on a footprint of just 34 square kilometers. As a car-free, zero-emission city, every resident will have access to all their needs within a five-minute walk, and every resident will have equal access to nature. Through this special interactive tour, delegates will be immersed in this new way of living.

    Deputy Chief Executive Officer

    Rayan Fayez brings a wealth of experience, having been managing director and CEO of Banque Saudi Fransi and CEO of Savola Group. He also sits on a number of boards including the King Salman Park Foundation and holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

  • Dr Mahmoud Alyamani

    Dr. Mahmoud AlYamany

    Sector Head, Health, Wellbeing & Biotech, NEOM

    With more than 20 years in neurosurgery and healthcare administration, Dr Mahmoud Alyamani was previously King Fahad Medical City CEO. He also sits on the Saudi Ministry of Health board and has worked on governmental health transformation programs. He is an adjunct professor at McGill University.

    Dr. Donal Bradley

    Executive Director, NEOM Education, Research & Innovation Foundation

    A distinguished applied physicist, consultant, deep tech entrepreneur, and academic leader, Professor Donal Bradley is recognized for his pioneering research and innovation, and for being a changemaker at leading institutions, including Imperial College London and the University of Oxford.

    Dr. Andreas Cangellaris

    Founding President, NEOM U

    An expert in computational science and electronic design automation, Professor Andreas Cangellaris has spent the last 25 years at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he occupied top leadership roles - most recently as Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost.

    Niall Gibbons

    Managing Director, Tourism

    Niall Gibbons has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, including 14 years as Tourism Ireland chief executive, promoting Ireland as a destination for international visitors. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a business graduate of Trinity College Dublin.

    With more than 25 years of experience across real estate development, investment and construction industries, Denis Hickey has a strong track record creating and delivering complex projects – from concept to completion. As CDO for THE LINE, he will ensure total delivery of NEOM’s flagship project.

    Sean Kelly

    Managing Director, Port of NEOM and Executive Team Member, Oxagon

    Sean Kelly has more than 35 years of experience managing port, logistics and shipping industries across North America and Asia. Previously CEO of Modern Terminals, he is now establishing the world's most advanced and sustainable port at NEOM.

    Head, NEOM Nature Reserve

    For more than 25 years, Dr Paul Marshall has worked with leading conservation organizations, advising governments and international agencies on biodiversity, conservation planning, applied research and protected area management. These include the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and UNESCO.

    Dr. Juan Carlos Motamayor

    Executive Director, Food

    With 20 years’ experience across the food industry worldwide, Juan Carlos leads NEOM’s food sector. He previously worked at global food leaders in agriculture, aquaculture and sustainable-business-development roles; and worked as a scientific advisor for governments and organizations.

    Jan Paterson is focused on making NEOM a global hub for sport and the most active and healthy society in the world. With extensive experience across the international sports realm, Paterson was CEO of the British Olympic Foundation and Chef de Mission at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

    Leading Urban Planning and THE LINE, Tarek received his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Tarek practiced in several leading international firms, most recently as Regional Director of the award-winning practice Morphosis Architects.

    With 30 years of experience in the water industry, Gavin van Tonder has held top positions at leading organizations such as Itron, Schlumberger and Sasol. Highly-skilled in navigating challenging milestones, his experience is truly global – stretching across 13 countries and four continents.
