Dr Andreas Cangellaris

Founding President, NEOM University

An expert in computational science and electronic design automation, Professor Andreas Cangellaris has spent the last 25 years at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he occupied top leadership roles - most recently as Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost.

Denis Hickey

Chief Development Officer, THE LINE

With more than 25 years of experience across real estate development, investment and construction industries, Denis Hickey has a strong track record creating and delivering complex projects – from concept to completion. As CDO for THE LINE, he will ensure total delivery of NEOM’s flagship project.

Dr Manar Al Moneef

Chief Investment Officer, NIO

Dr Manar Al Moneef is responsible for developing and implementing the NEOM investment strategy by creating growth initiatives and building partnerships. Previously President & CEO of GE Renewable Energy, she held leadership roles in oil & gas and healthcare. Manar has an executive MBA from Harvard Business School and PhD from Leicester University.

Michael Young

Chancellor Education, Research and Innovation

A Harvard Law School graduate, Professor Young has experience across legal, public service and diplomatic arenas. He served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court, and held various government positions during the administration of President George H.W. Bush.

Niall Gibbons

Managing Director, Tourism

Niall Gibbons has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, including 14 years as Tourism Ireland chief executive, promoting Ireland as a destination for international visitors. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a business graduate of Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Paul Marshall

Head of Nature Reserve

For more than 25 years, Dr Paul Marshall has worked with leading conservation organizations, advising governments and international agencies on biodiversity, conservation planning, applied research and protected area management. These include the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and UNESCO.

Peter Terium

CEO, ENOWA

With 18 years of experience in the energy industry, Peter Terium has been CEO of three different companies. He also founded Innogy – which became Germany’s most valuable energy company. Now he is building NEOM’s 100% renewable-energy system and managing its green-hydrogen expansion.

Pierre Menges

As NEOM’s Executive Director and Chief Procurement Officer, with over 20 years’ experience in strategic global sourcing, procurement and supply chain management, Pierre Menges is working to create an unprecedented, highly agile and effective procurement organization that makes the delivery of NEOM happen quickly, at the right cost and with impeccable compliance.

Roberto Penno

Chief Projects Officer, THE LINE

Roberto Penno’s experience extends across more than 30 years in engineering, construction, infrastructure and project management. In c-suite roles, he built and transformed billion-dollar businesses in America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe – for Amec Foster Wheeler, Exyte Group and others.

Tarek Qaddumi

Executive Director, THE LINE Design Group

Leading Urban Planning and THE LINE, Tarek received his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Tarek practiced in several leading international firms, most recently as Regional Director of the award-winning practice Morphosis Architects.

Vishal Wanchoo

CEO, Oxagon

Vishal Wanchoo is managing the world’s first fully-integrated physical and digital supply chain at NEOM. During his 40-year career, he held executive leadership positions at General Electric. He has contributed to growing businesses across numerous sectors including healthcare, energy and aviation.

As Head of Innovation, Roy aims to establish NEOM as a hub for creativity, fostering its startup ecosystem. Roy's deep understanding of enabling innovation at government level and how it operates in the private sector uniquely positions him to drive NEOM’s ambition to accelerate human progress.
