OUR RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES

  • ANTI-BRIBERY & ANTI-CORRUPTION

All representatives of NEOM are required to always behave ethically and with integrity. That means complying with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations. This involves following strict policies and procedures set out in our Code of Conduct relating to gifting and the acceptance of gifts, cash, entertainment, and other such favors to prevent unfair influence or treatment.

  • CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

We ask all of our employees to make transparent decisions in the best interest of NEOM as an organization, to maintain the trust and confidence of our stakeholders. This means being mindful of any conflicts of interest that may be construed as unfair or corrupt. Personal motivations should not interfere with NEOM as a company and any conflicts of interest should be declared to us to mitigate risk.

  • GIFTS & HOSPITALITY

NEOM prides itself on ethical behavior and this means always acting with integrity in our business operations. Our Code sets out strict guidelines that prevent the giving and receiving of gifts and hospitality that is excessive or lavish. Exchange of gifts or hospitality should not be conducted with the intention of providing unfair advantage in any way.

  • COUNTERING FRAUD

Fraud is defined as wrongful or criminal deception that is intended to result in financial or personal gain. At NEOM, we do not endorse or tolerate fraud or fraudulent activities of any kind including theft, embezzlement, the misuse of NEOM assets. We should all work together to protect the reputation of NEOM and the trust that forms the foundation of our long term goals.

  • FAIR COMPETITION

At NEOM, we want to select the best possible partners to work alongside us and build relationships that are rooted in equality and transparency. Competition should be fair and based on commercial market principles and earned merit rather than privileged treatment. Therefore, we do not tolerate anti-competitive practices that have the ability to damage our reputation.

  • ACCURATE BOOKS & RECORDS

Promoting honesty and acting with integrity is at the heart of everything we do at NEOM. We therefore ask all NEOM employees and representatives to maintain robust standards of transparency and precision with all our accounting systems. This means making sure all bookkeeping and records are accurate and correct, and comply with relevant laws, regulations and financial reporting standards.

  • SHAREHOLDER REPORTING

We ask that all NEOM employees commit to acting in the best interest of our shareholder to create sustainable shareholder value. This process involves providing timely, transparent and accurate information about our regular and business activities. Proactively seeking feedback and making suggestions for improvement from our shareholder ensures that there are no limitations to information access.

  • CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

Information, intellectual property and trade secrets are valuable NEOM assets. We ask all employees to handle information with care and not disclose confidential information to others, as this could result in significant damage to our competitive advantage. To prevent harm to our business and reputation, we must protect confidential information and ensure it is not publicly available.

  • MONEY LAUNDERING, TERRORIST FINANCING, AND SANCTIONS

NEOM has a duty to maintain transparent business relationships. We do not associate with money launderers, and we must do everything we can to prevent the financing of terrorism. All NEOM employees have a responsibility to be vigilant about these risks. We do not knowingly do business with anyone suspected of criminal or terrorist activity including those who are subject to trade sanctions.
